Street Photography Meetup

Saturday 13 June
Bronte Beach - 10am - 2.0 Hours
Phil Bayly
Street photography encompasses a wide range of genres, and this week we'll be exploring the philosophy of Street Photography. That is a lifestyle-based approach focused on capturing authentic, candid moments in public spaces to find beauty in the mundane. It emphasizes curiosity, serendipity, and the democratic, often fleeting, nature of everyday life. It's about documenting the "here and now" and transforming ordinary, often unposed, scenes into artistic, meaningful narratives. It is more about capturing the feeling of the moment rather than the technical qualities of the image. It is the emotion, movement, and feeling that help create the image.

This was a fast moving cloud formation that stretched across Maroubra in early January. As the clouds drifted across the bay the colours were in constant kaleidoscopic change varying with the depth of the cloud movement. The size of the formation was so large that even at 25mm lens setting I could only fit half of it in. The movement and variation of light was mesmerising
